This Arts Council funded publication is more than an exhibition catalogue. It aims to tell a story of the research and development of a site specific installation from the artists perspective. It describes the collection of images, the formulation of ideas, the historical and even archaeological research to that informs the work. It demonstrates how an artist interprets historical material visually and within its conclusion it discusses the relationship between fact and supposition in an artistic context and how we view the past through the lens of our present.
